Facing discomfort will ALWAYS lead you to honesty and truth
Giving myself this reminder today, and sharing it with you too.
This is not a post for sympathy, but a reminder that sometimes the things we can sense or feel into are in fact really big. And even though our emotions might flirt with our well-being, facing discomfort will ALWAYS lead you to honesty and truth.
Fear is a reminder that we are working with something we value and stand to lose.
It would be so much easier to just not care, am I right?
I can sense for a-lot of us right now, we are being asked to recalibrate everything we have known so far. And we are tired, and maybe a little bit depressed and depleted. And loss is ever so present in the dead of winter… almost as a reminder of our capacity to love…. the pendulum must swing both ways after all. That notion still doesn’t make it any less painful or difficult, though.
We are doing the work we can’t see or feel yet. And it might feel like caving in, or nothingness or 3 steps toward, 2 steps back. But it’s deeeeep in the earth and within us, too.
Energetically (and health wise) it’s been a trying start to 2024 for me, but here I am. I am here.
And I am here in the trenches with you, too.
Rituals, connection and pleasurable movement at the studio, have been showing me the way. It’s so tempting to just want to be a 🐻 this time of year.
