Persephone’s Descent

Dark Goddess Devotion for Sexual Healing & Liberation
Saturday, 2/14 | 1–4 PM

A Valentine’s Day Devotion to Yourself

While the world sells romance as something to be earned, exchanged, or validated by another, this gathering is intentionally held on Valentine’s Day as an act of reclamation.

This is an invitation to turn toward your own body, desire, and erotic truth—to romanticize your life from the inside out. To remember that your sexuality is not a performance, a currency, or a reward… but a sacred intelligence that belongs to you.

Persephone’s Descent is not about becoming more desirable.
It is about becoming more devoted.

Who This Is For

This workshop is for you if:

  • You feel a quiet (or loud) longing to reconnect with your sexuality in a way that feels safe, sovereign, and true

  • You’ve done “the work,” yet still sense layers of shame, numbness, grief, or disconnection living in the body

  • You are tired of sanitizing your sensuality and are ready to meet your depth, darkness, and desire with reverence

  • You crave ritual, myth, embodiment, and devotion—not surface-level empowerment

  • You want to explore pleasure and sexuality outside of performance, productivity, or male-centered narratives

  • You feel called to honor the parts of you that have been hidden, softened, or silenced

No experience with embodiment, ritual, or sensual practices is required—only a willingness to listen.

What Is the Dark Goddess?

The Dark Goddess is not evil, broken, or destructive.
She is the archetype of depth, truth, death, erotic power, grief, intuition, and rebirth.

She lives in the realms our culture avoids:

  • Sexuality without shame

  • Pleasure without apology

  • Rage, grief, longing, and hunger

  • Cycles of descent, stillness, and transformation

In myths, the Dark Goddess is often feared because she cannot be controlled. In the body, she is feared because she asks us to feel.

When we suppress the Dark Goddess, sexuality becomes distorted—either numbed or over-performed. When we reclaim her, sexuality becomes rooted, honest, embodied, and free.

Exploring the Dark Goddess allows us to:

  • Heal sexual shame at the root (not just the symptom)

  • Reclaim desire as wisdom, not something to manage

  • Restore erotic energy as a life force, not a transaction

  • Remember that descent is not failure—it is initiation

What You’ll Experience

This 3-hour immersive workshop weaves together:

  • Myth + Archetype — Persephone’s descent as a map for sexual healing and sovereignty

  • Somatic & Sensual Embodiment — guided movement, breath, and sensation-based practices

  • Ritual & Devotion — ceremonial practices to honor the body as sacred ground

  • Shadow Integration — meeting grief, shame, longing, or numbness without fixing or forcing

  • Intentional Witnessing — being seen without being explained

This is not a performance space.
This is not about pushing edges for spectacle.
This is a slow, intentional descent into embodied truth.

What You May Receive

Each body receives differently, but participants often leave with:

  • A deeper sense of sexual sovereignty and self-trust

  • Relief from carrying unspoken shame or contraction in the body

  • A renewed relationship with pleasure that feels grounded and safe

  • Emotional release and nervous system settling

  • A felt remembrance of desire as sacred, cyclical, and alive

  • A new way to relate to Valentine’s Day—and romance itself

Why Persephone?

Persephone teaches us that descent is not something to avoid.
It is how power is forged.

She becomes Queen of the Underworld not despite her descent—but because of it. This workshop honors that same initiation within you.
