Did you know you don’t have to be good at dancing to enjoy it?

Woman in a grecian goddess dress dancing in the woods

For any aging woman (all of us), you’re going to want to read this one.

I still hear…
“Pole Dancing requires upper body strength & core, right?”

Sure… not wrong, but 100% not what we focus on here…so stop thinking you need to be in better shape to start with us cause ya don’t.

And sure…a lot of what happens in our studio can provide a physical outlet where you will quite literally start to feel and most likely even start to see new activation in your body, but what we value and facilitate in our space goes far beyond a workout.

In fact, if that’s all you truly seek — a workout… we’re probably not the right place for you.

Will you build strength? Absolutely. You’ll awaken one of your strongest parts of of yourself here; your intuition. 👁️

💦 Sweat & Tears?
Oh hell yeah, we are in full summer swamp city, plus we are big fans of cleansing through both the pores and the eyeballs.

But the “fit” aspect of pole dancing is like a cherry on top of what we provide here at Thrive Embodied Arts.

For me personally, in an aging body, spaces where the masculine energy of “push” & “go” is the primary anchor have me feeling like I need to chase my youth. Like I need to escape the inevitable of gently sagging skin, rid myself of the healthy relationship weight or get back to looking like that one picture from 10 years ago.

And maybe that’s just me but…

Where’s the pleasure in that? I can’t help but think for those seeking solace in the stair stepper…could you want more?

We are yet again about to be a topic of discussion (our bodies, our rights etc) in the next few months, so I will continue to challenge people who walk in our door to step into what they truly desire for their lives in a female body; not what is expected of us, not a certain way we are supposed to look or act, and certainly not meekly shrinking ourselves into ideals of others.

💫 A sensually embodied woman is a courageous act of rebellion in this world.

And I am here for it.

Moving your body doesn’t need to be punishment - there is so much pleasure and information for you to unearth in spaces that show you, you are already whole as you are.

See you soon!
