Abundance? Or Fear?

Or maybe you are just running on empty?

Seems like "abundance & fear"  wouldn't go together, but here's how they get confused.

When we're saying yes to things, is it because it's coming from an innate place of overflow, abundance and ability to give?

OR is it because we are fearful of the reaction on the other end if we do not?

Are you going above and beyond when we are already feeling spent...and where is that actually coming from?

I see this in a lot of women, in all types of people, and I'm completely guilty of this as well.

Check In Question...

When we are extending our energy, is it coming from a space of "I have to" or "I should."

Is it coming from a place of being fearful, or making up for something we feel we are not enough of?

For example...say you show up with tons of presents for Christmas or you just went ALL out hosting for thanksgiving, but you're already feeling a little financially strapped or completely energetically tapped being around people.

Your actions...your "yes's"...

Are they coming from a place of fear? Dare I say... people pleasing even?

An expectation or a false narrative?

Maybe there is fear that you won't be accepted for you or your lifestyle now (grown and with boundaries) or the fact that maybe your job, or your family, or your children, or yourself is requiring more energy and attention in comparison to what you're able to extend, especially when being measured to the past.

OR

Is it coming from a place of full overflow?

If it's coming from overflow, sprinkle that sh*t everywhere! But if you are tapped the F out, stop torturing yourself.

Here is a helpful take on the old "pouring from an empty cup"

analogy.

Imagine a vessel that holds liquid. Could be a vase, a wine glass, a cup or a mug.

Visualize the details of this vessel; color, shape, size etc.

Is there liquid in it? What's its consistency. How full or how empty. Does it have a scent or a flavor or a color?

This vessel is an embodiment of you; the liquid a representation of your current available energy.

Did you visualize a dried up coffee cup you found under your car set from a few months ago, that no matter how many times you run it though the dishwasher, it's still crusty?

Or a tall, elegant champagne flute with bubbles bursting over the brim.

A solid and heart mason jar? A holiday tea cup?

There is so much information here with this tool, if you are open to receive it.

Within this visual, how much do you really have to give from it?

How much are you holding, or maybe refusing to let go of, because those are actually not the same.

How empty or full is it?

Does it need a good cleanse, or maybe even put away on the shelf for a few weeks.
