“Being afraid and taking risks are some of the ways we learn who we are and who we are not.”
I typically find quotes like this cheesy, but my girl @estherperelofficial always titillates my senses.
I can’t help but think of the people here who have been following us for years, taking in the wisdom, applauding from a far.
But what’s really holding you back?
Sure, I think fear keeps us from doing things we’re afraid of failing at… BUT I also can’t help but think we are SO held back by the potential of our own happiness…
That joy and abundance are so new for us, having it might bring us shame.
That for 30+ years we’ve lived for other people, goals and ideations and realize damn….
Now what?
New students often share with me how nervous they are to start something new. And ya know what, I think that’s kinda special.
I recently tried deep sea fishing (don’t worry I got to throw them back!) and realized how long it had been since I tried something I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about.
You learn so much about yourself here.
But here’s the thing about coming home to your body. You do know. And you have known all along.
The world is just so freaking noisy it’s hard to listen, and circumstances have lead you to sabotage your own intuition.
Not to mention… we are so overstimulated, it takes intention and devotion to actually tap in and hear anything from her (your body) at all.
Everything we touch tells us what to do. Google maps tells us how to get home, Spotify tells us what song to listen to next, and Netflix tells us what’s hot to binge.
But what about you?! What you want and what you don’t want. What you like and what you don’t like.
Maybe it’s scary to know you’re in the driver seat of your own life, because that means taking responsibility for the quality of it.
But when you’re there, driving, you can remove the autopilot and take the scenic route.
Breathing in those winding, dirt roads covered with wild flowers and trees; windows down.
So, I see you. You’ve been following us for months and years, or maybe you just found us.
Either way, this message reached you for a reason.
