Notes from the founder and CEO

I never though I would 1. Run a run a successful business 2. in Sussex County, Nj. But I am so proud of what I have built in the last 3 years. 2 of which involved good old ‘Rona.

I was born here, raised here, left for a good amount of time…ya know…soul searching things… and happily landed here where I have firmly planted roots. And I LOVE nothing more then seeing small businesses, esp female owned and run businesses, esp female owned and run business that are of high vibration, creativity and connection, absolutely THRIVE in this little (but kinda big) area.

And with running a business in this area comes lots of layers.

I personally (Emily Rose) have gone through deep transformation in the last 3 years in this department since founding and truly stepping into the CEO roll of Thrive Embodied Arts. For those of you that don’t know, Thrive once who had one team member (me) doing ALL the things; teaching 15 classes a week, balancing financials, all the graphic design and marketing work, you name it. To now, a generous and aligned team of 8 with a full time manager on a full time salary. As someone who has worked on her own definition of abundance both personally and in business sense (and transparently as someone who came from nothing), I have redirected and cleared out old money stories and feelings of lack here, and completely shifted my mindset around wealth energy, inside of as well as outside of my business. A fricken gift. It’s been hard work, but its been innate too.

Do I know it all? Hell no, that would be insane. But I will say that I have dedicated the last 5 years of my life (thats right, it took years prior to the actual birth of Thrive) in making big changes, especially those which support my visions and creative/business endeavors. Changes that advocated for myself, the way I could show up as a niche market business owner, young woman and honestly someone who took on a risk that people didn’t really think I would be successful in. To me, they are all linked. Sensuality, movement, energetic exchanges, stories we hold onto and the way we run our businesses… or want to.

So, can we get real here; as small business owners, healers and creatives, or maybe those of us who want to be. Can we get real about putting language to what it is we do, reflect on our wins and our….losses… carve out time to work through blocks that may just be holding us back? How about we get out of our head and into our bodies about it all, too.

What is this event about? 

Things like engaging with the idea of releasing some control or asking for help - and leaning into the innate wisdom that feminine energy has to offer us when it comes to tough decisions, uncomfortable conversations, reality checks and alignment. Or vice versa. Even making space for and leaning into those “crazy” ideas you have.

I am talking pleasure over pressure... and pleasure over perseverance even.
