Imagine being able to vomit out what’s being swirling around in your heard and heart without having to say a word??
I have been thinking a lot about how to bring art and creativity to adults without bounds. For the ones that say “ I am not creative,” or “I could never.” this is the place you can come to put the perfectionism down, put the grocery list down, leave the dishes in the sink and instead, come let it all out. For the f*ck of it.
“Colors & Catharsis” is an invitation to rediscover your artistic spirit, shed the pressure of always showing up, and fall back in love with the tactile, intuitive art of making. My goal? reconnect you with the joy of creating for the pure, uninhibited magick of it, not the end result.
The Journey
We begin with sound scapes to close out the tabs in our brain. You’ll be guided through The Embodied Way™ movement practice— a gentle space to talk directly to your body, tune into its natural rhythm, and ask what it needs to express, today.
With that creative energy awakened, we move to the canvas. This isn't about rigid techniques, rules, or reproducing a sample painting. It’s about channeling felt energy, color, and raw emotion directly onto the page. You’ll use movement and paint/chalk pastels as partner mediums, turning the canvas into a mirror for what your body wants to bring to life.
The Magic of Messy Adult Expression & Play
Somewhere along the way, many of us lost touch with the free-spirited artist within—the one who painted simply to feel color on a brush and see what happens next. Through years or research and development guided by our founder, Emily Rose, movement and expression through art has been a therapeutic outlet for thousand of women she has served. This is workshop typically designed for retreat spaces, but she brings an iteration of it to you, here and now. PLUS There are crazy health benefits to reclaiming this space:
Rediscover Your Creative Intuition: Re-engage with art making as a natural, instinctive language rather than a talent to be judged. This builds new pathways in the brain.
Embrace Messy Play: Break through the fear of the blank page and trade perfectionism for curiosity, texture, and freedom. This grows capacity in the nervous system.
Channel Raw Emotion: Let color, stroke, and motion express the subtle layers of feeling that words can't capture. This opens to heart for greater receiving.
Reconnect to Wonder: Leave with a renewed connection to your artistic voice—and the deep satisfaction of having played without boundaries. This clears the throat and the mind.

A note from your guide -
“The last thing I want to share with you is sure, you can sling paint at home by yourself. And you should. But will you? The best thing we have to offer you here at Thrive Embodied Arts is space for your own experience, your own revelations and momentum towards where you want to go with your life, especially if you have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed or worried. Re-igninting your creative flame and giving your emotions a places a powerful option to give yourself when we are so used to numbing out and scrolling away. I spent my whole life holding it all in, and now I get the pleasure of guiding you, to let it all out.”
